Community - Activities for Young People

Within the Mole Valley District a youth council was established in 2002 to give young people an opportunity to voice their opinions and influence decisions. This is called Youth Voice and is a very important development for young people in this area. It covers a wide variety of topics from the provision of a skate park, crime and disorder and an event's programme.

Bfree Youth Café at All Saint's Church on Kingston Road is a place where young people can meet their friends, have coffee and use facilities such as a pool table and TV. There are special events organised and film nights. Staffed by professional and trained voluntary workers, the centre is open after school.

The Bridge Centre provides different activities for young people from age 7 and is open for different age groups on different nights of the week. Other youth clubs are available in Great Bookham and Ashtead to provide a good range of opportunities for young people to meet friends and enjoy a variety of activities.
