St George’s Day – April
The town becomes awash with the flag of St George and celebrations include morris dancing, street entertainment, music
and singing, face painting, children’s workshop, fun and games with prizes to be won.
Leatherhead Drama Festival – May
The festival has grown to become one of the UK’s largest one-act drama events. Groups from
all across Surrey are competing for the prestigious Sir Michael Caine Awards, which are presented by the man himself,

Duck Racing on the River Mole – June
Come to the banks of the River Mole and place your bets on your favourite colour duck or perhaps judge its form from its
name. With six heats and a grand final there is plenty of fun to be had. The tote races are followed by the mass duck
race, where hundreds of tiny yellow bathtime ducks take to water – with lots of fantastic prizes to be won.
Alongside the racing there are refreshments, a children’s entertainer and nearby in Mill Lane there are miniature

Polesden Lacey Festival and Polesden Lacey Shakespeare – July
This open air music and theatre event takes place each year at the Polesden Lacey National Trust Property. The event
includes the Polesden Prom with fireworks - hear all your favourites from the Last Night of the Proms before the night
ends with a spectacular fireworks display. Pack your picnic and dust off your flags! Tradition of Shakespeare continues
with an open air production of one of his well known plays. For further information about

Heritage Open Days – September
Mole Valley’s Heritage Open Days Event is one of the biggest in the country with hundreds of properties opening up
their doors, guided walks, talks and exhibitions taking place throughout the weekend. Every year there is a different
theme and this year it is ‘Memories and Mysteries’.For further information click here
Arts Alive Festival – October
This is a month long festival celebrating the very best in local talent, with all the various arts represented. The
festival kicks off with a street party in the town centre on Saturday 26th September, where local groups get the
opportunity to showcase their talents and give a small taster of what is to come. For further information

Halloween – October
Organised Halloween fun for the little ones, with a Halloween Hunt (no trick or treat) around the town’s shops, doughnut bobbing,
lucky dip and guess the name of the snake competition. There will be street entertainment, scary window displays and lots, lots more. For further

Christmas Festival – December
The Christmas festivities get into full swing, with live music, singing and dancing. There is street entertainment, fun
